Rugby

The school is well-known in the Eastern Cape for its hard, running brand of rugby.

Our philosophy is to develop rugby by focussing on the skill levels of the individual players. Our nine teams play at the highest levels of EP Schools’ rugby during the winter season from April to August.  Throughout the country, our well-known blue-jersey has to be contended with.  Tours are frequent and our practice times coincide with the stipulations of the year programme.  Various players are contracted at a provincial and even national level after school. The foundation of Nico Malan’s rugby success is PRIDE, TRADITION and PASSION.
